  The Code of Ethics is a collection of principles or guidelines that professionals (in this case system and IT professionals) needs to follow so they could implement their practices with integrity and honesty. Procedures on how they should be addressing issues in their company or self are stated in the code of ethics. This is based on their companies' rightful conducts, values and standards. Some companies may keep a copy of this in a document or digital form. If an employee failed to follow what is stated in the guidelines, then they can get sanctions, depends on the companies authorities.  

  Example of Code of Ethics for IT Professionals: Be respectful to you co-employees even though you don't agree to his or her ideas all the time. Be courteous and patient when addressing concerns and issues. Be mindful of your words in virtual and real world. Be honest in all communications. Take full responsibility of your work.
