Ida Bell Wells-Barnett was an African-American journalist, newspaper editor, suffragist, sociologist, feminist, Georgist, and an early leader in the Civil Rights Movement. Wells-Barnett fought for both the women’s rights and the African-American rights. She fought for the enfranchisement and suffrage of Black women. She was strong and defiant with everything that’s against the odds. She didn’t allow to be segregated from the whites like in the couch train. She also battled the white women who advocated for suffrage but excluded them. The influence of Wells-Barnett brought the government to write the constitution allowing the women regardless of their color to vote.
