    Verb

    Verbs are used to determine a certain movement of a person, animal or a thing. It usually is followed by an adverb where it tells how that certain action is made. Other than the meaning and function of the verb there is also its tenses, that is consisted of its present, past and future form. It is ideal that every form of the verb is used correctly in a sentence and that is why it is important to know first which is acceptable to use.

    Examples of tenses of verbs:

    Present- Going Past-Went Future- will go Past participle- Gone

    Using the set of verbs in a sentence:

    (Frightening) The loud thunder echoed through the room frightening the children. (Frighten) Though adults may ignore the common lightning and thunder noises, it is enough to frighten a kid. (Frightened) The thunder had set the guards running down the hill frightened they might get struck by lightning next.

    Using Verbs

    Verbs are essential in a sentence, though in some parts it doesn’t actually require it at all but still. We are very familiar that verbs are words pertaining to the action of the subject where it is described how, where and what kind. Understanding it at first is really easy but later one becomes tricky when tenses and its other forms come together. Not only should you consider the construction of your sentences but also the verb itself.

    Examples of verbs:

    Past- Woke Present- Waking Future- Will wake Past Participle- Woken  

    Using the set of verbs in a sentence:

    (Depressing) The result of the test was very depressing although I did study. (Depress) I won’t let the result of the test depress me. (Depressed) Most examinees  were depressed about the result of the test.

    It is very important when learning the English language is that you also apply it to your everyday circumstances. Just for you to be able to maximize your learning and understanding and to also help progress your skills. Some might think that learning grammar and such is too irrelevant or in some point complicated. It is complicated but doesn’t mean that it cannot be learned and applied.

    We all know what verb functions as, the only thing to do is learn its other uses and forms such as using participles; tenses; perfect forms.

    Examples of Tenses:

    Past- Brought Present- Bringing Future- will bring Past Participle- Brought

    Using the set of verbs in a sentence:

    (Irritating) If they keep showing irritating manners in this hall I might have to throw them out. (Irritate) The only thing to irritate me is show me some bad manners. (Irritated) The professor is very irritated because he can’t seem to find any bad manners in the reported student.
