"The secret of happiness, you see, is not found in seeking more, but in developing the capacity to enjoy less.” -Socrates
What did Socrates mean when he said this quote, "The secret of happiness, you see, is not found in seeking more, but in developing the capacity to enjoy less.”?
It was quite simple, really. Socrates is a great philosopher and he believed in happiness in a very wise way. This quote is the manifestation of it.
The quote only meant that sometimes people tend to enjoy things in terms of their quantity. They tend to find more, seek more, want more. They do that to the point that they forget that true happiness cannot be achieved as long as you always lust for more. It is when you learn to enjoy even the littlest things, to their fullest.
