A circle with a radius of 5 cm with a 12 square cm area of a sector. Find the measure of the central angle of the sector in degrees.

    According to the question : -

    a₁ = x + 6 , a₂ = 2x + 1 and a₃ = 4x - 13

    use this rule of common difference : -

    a₂ - a₁ = a₃ - a₂  

    2x + 1 - (x + 6) = 4x - 13 - (2x + 1)

    here solve the bracket we get : -

    2x + 1 - x - 6 = 4x - 13 - 2x - 1

    2x - x - 4x + 2x = -13 - 1 - 1 + 6

    -x = -9

    here will be removed : -

    x = 9

    ★substitute the value of x we get : -

    a₁ = x + 6

    ⇒9 + 6 = 15

    a₂ = 2x + 1  

    ⇒   2 × 9 + 1 = 19

    a₃ = 4x - 13  

    ⇒   4 × 9 - 13 = 23

    : - 15, 19,

    5th term will be : -

    n = 5

    a₁ = 15

    an = a₁ + (n-1)(d)  

    ★substitute the values we get : -

    a₅ = 15 + (5 -1)(4)

    a₅ = 15 + 16

    a₅ = 31

    ★hence we get fifth term which is 31.
