It is because the Philippines is geographically located along the Pacific region near the Equator which is prone to tropical cyclones and storms.

    I. Because of its geographical location.

    II. No

    I. Philippines is prone to typhoons bc of its geographical location which produce heavy rain, floods and etc.

II. No, because typhoons move east to west, heading north which means Southern part of Ph is not prone to typhoons and the reason why is, Southern part is too close to the equator.

The Philippines is prone to tropical cyclones due to its geographical location which generally produce heavy rains and flooding of large areas and also strong winds which result in heavy casualties to human life and destructions to crops and properties.

I might think it's geographical location because I wouldn't really think that what it is, where  it is, and how big it is matters and has a connection to typhoons

PHL is prone to typhoons because the country is located in the pacific ocean where storms, hurricanes, etc were formed normally .the path of typhoons goes westward wherein the country was located.
